There were patent images of a new compact ” SUV ” Japanese company. The model was created on the basis of HR-V cross.
In April this year, Honda presented at the Beijing motor show concept electric crossover Everus EV. Recall that Everus is the name of a sub-brand created by a joint venture of Honda and a Chinese concern JAC specifically for the local market in 2008. this brand produces only one model – a sedan S1, turned “cityradio” Honda City. The release of the sedan turned in 2014, and Everus revived for “green” models SP Honda and GAC. The prototype Eve ru sav was not developed from scratch, it was built on the basis of “SUV” Honda Vezel – so in China is called a crossover, which is known in other markets under the name HR-V. Now in the Chinese patent office appeared images of serial electric car.
Externally commodity electric ” SUV ” is different from its harbinger. So, the conveyor version received a simplified head optics (in particular, the cross lost the glass die connecting the headlights), and the rear bumper, exterior mirror housing and lights serial Everus EV and did get from the “normal” Vezel/HR-V (in the lights only appeared blue inserts). The interior of the prototype Honda did not show images of the cabin of the serial electric car, too, yet. Most likely, there will be no cardinal changes in Everus EV compared to the standard HR-V.
Data on the “stuffing” neither the concept nor its product embodiment, too, yet. “”SUV” Honda Vezel in China is offered with petrol “atmospherically” 1.5 i-VTEC (130 HP, 155 Nm) and 1.8-VTEC (136 HP, 169 Nm). The first motor is paired with a five – speed “mechanics” or variator, the second-only with CVT. All-wheel drive is put only top Vezel with 1.8 engine.
To the conveyor plant SP GAC and Honda (ibid. and produce Vezel) electrocreaser have to get up in the near future — the Chinese market the novelty will lead to the end of the year. “Celestial” media reported that the premiere serial electricross will be held in November 2018 at the motor show in Guangzhou. Outside China, this electric car is unlikely to get out.
By the way, in China Honda Vezel has another copy – crossover XR-V, which is equipped with the same gasoline engines as the “original”. “Cloning” of the same model is explained simply: if Vezel produces JV GAC and Honda, the XRV is assembled at the plant of another JV – Honda and Dongfeng. Whether the electric car will appear in the line of the joint venture with Dongfeng is still unknown.
